I am sad to say that yes this was my coat closet. It was basiclly a dropping point for our coats, scarfs, and junk that was in our arms at the time. This closet was disorganized (duh) and disfunctional. So i decided to do a major overhaul to organize this closet on a BUDGET! And it only cost me $8!!
Here's a quick overview of "before"

I got these FABULOUS bins at the...(drum roll please)...The Dollar Store!! Yes I know I couldn't believe it either. They were $4 a piece and I got 2 of them!
The first thing I did was PURGE! I took everything out, sorted, threw away, and decided what I wanted to keep. I discovered that over half the stuff that was in there did not belong in there and then half of that needed to be thrown away.
I found that I had a lot of gift bags, tags, a small gift boxes that I've saved for reusal (because I'm cheap like that) so I decided to use one storage bin to hold those.
The second bin is pretty miscellaneous. I think there's even an extra cable box in there lol.
I took all our scarves and hung them on a hanger like so. This is a great space saver!
My name is Leah Franklin and I am addicted to adhesive hooks. I seriously use these ALL over my house! Here I used one to hang my husbands hiking backpack. I hung it on the inside of the closet wall to maximize space and so it will be out of the way.
Finished product! Not too shabby, if I say so myself!
Hung this on the door...for now!
